Best Value Bean to Cup Coffee Machines

This is the machine for those who want a fully customizable, hands-free, one-press latte. Read our full Beem Espresso Grind Profession review for more details.

Its swappable bean hoppers allow you to experiment with various blends in the moment and its profiles mean you can continue where you left off. Additionally, it's less costly than capsule machines and utilizes real coffee beans instead of ground coffee beans that are pre-ground.

1. Smeg BCC02

Created by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek compact and striking machine combines the brand's inimitable retro style with cutting-edge technology. The machine can handle all the stages of the coffee-making process, from grinding beans to making a puck, then texturing milk before dispensed the correct amount.

The machine also has a stylish brushed aluminium front and is available in red, black or taupe, so it's easy to integrate into the majority of kitchen designs. There are some flaws, however: most reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it's not equipped with an insulated milk pitcher).

There were also numerous positive reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of use of this machine. The digital display offers information and step-bystep instructions throughout the entire brewing procedure which will allow you to make your drink perfect each time. It will even alert you to alter the grind size if it's not quite right. It's almost like having your own personal barista at home (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).

If you prefer drinks with milk, this model features a steam wand that's adjustable up and down to accommodate all drinking vessels, but not the drinking horn of Vikings. We were awestruck by the speed and effectiveness of the frothing process, too. It creates an excellent, full-flavoured, delicious espresso with a wonderful crema.

The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and provides excellent value for money at the current price of PS499. The only issue is that it doesn't provide the same level of customization as other bean-to-cup machines we have examined. Its pump has 15 bars instead of the usual 19 bars. This is not enough for producing top-quality espressos. This is a fantastic machine for those who like their coffee strong and dark. Click here to check out Lavazza's amazing deal.

2. Melitta Barista TS Smart

The Barista TS Smart has a range of features that set it apart from the competition. Its most distinctive feature could be that it can now be controlled by your smartphone via the Melitta Connect App. This lets you alter settings and dispensing different coffee recipes that are stored within the machine itself.

This makes the machine flexible and adaptable to your personal preferences. There are many options to change the intensity of your drinks, cup sizes, and even whether you'd like milk added. The machine has two airtight containers of beans that are automatically selected to match different types of drinks. The machine will default to using standard espresso beans and cafe creme, which is a German variation of flat white or long black. However, you are able to choose any beans you like. There is also a chute that can be used for pre-ground beans if you prefer to use your own.

Users have also been amazed by the speed of the machine. It's faster than other machine they have used. Another benefit is that the machine will warn you when one of its hoppers is about to be empty, ensuring that you aren't caught running out of your favourite drink.

The only thing that may be a problem for some individuals is the price. This machine is not inexpensive, with prices that are close to PS999. However, it's cheaper than similar Jura machines that have similar features.

Barista TS smart is protected by a two-year guarantee. This is more than the average one year guarantee, so it is a good indication of trust from the manufacturer. It also comes with a cleaning tablet and a descaler, making it easy to stay up to date with the machine's needs for maintenance. This is a fantastic machine for those looking for a high-quality and versatile bean to cup machine that's priced at a reasonable price.
